Genioplasty (Genoid Advancement) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome
摘要
Obstructive sleep apnea is a common, but not a new disorder. Health care providers are becoming increasingly aware of the entity and its health impact. Up to 24% of men and 9% of women meet the polysomnography criteria to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea. When the polysomnography data are combined with symptoms of sleep apnea (obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, OSAS), the prevalence rate is around 4% and 2% in men and women, respectively [12].
