Interventions in which the position of the tongue base is changed have been replaced over time by interventions aiming at reducing the volume of the tongue base. Endoscope-assisted coblation midline glossectomy is a safe surgical procedure that achieves a significant decrease in AHI even when performed solely, with low complication rates. It should be considered an important alternative among the interventions to be performed at the tongue base level in multilevel OSA surgery.
