The Landscape Observatory of Catalonia. A Journey of Fifteen Years

In December 2000, the Parliament of the autonomous region of Catalonia (Spain) signed the European Landscape Convention (Council of Europe 2000. European Landscape Convention, Strasbourg, Council of Europe.), promoted by the Council of Europe and adopted on 20 October 2000. Without the institutional (and moral) impact of this Convention, many of Europe’s subsequent political, legislative, academic and professional initiatives on landscape would have been unthinkable, and Catalonia is no exception.
