Post-Soviet University Literary Histories: Defining Russianness

This chapter proceeds with an analysis of university literary histories. I discuss several of the textbooks published in the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s for Russian university students, with the focus on such key issues as the concept of unity, the interpretation of the Soviet heritage, the treatment of non-Russian literatures, and theoretical approaches.
