Schelling & Aristotle
摘要
Notwithstanding the striking intensity of Schelling’s dedication to Aristotle in his final years, his reception of Aristotle remains largely ignored. I focus here on three main areas of debate and propose specific theses regarding each one: Schelling’s late motivation to recur to Aristotle, the role of Aristotle in Schelling’s works, and Schelling’s own original interpretation of Aristotle. Indeed, through his close study of the corpus in Greek and the commentaries, Schelling is able to provide an innovative reading of the Stagirite while engaging his own philosophy in a way that recapitulates Schelling’s whole development.
