摘要

The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) had an impact on the lives of many people worldwide. Many people lost their loved ones, their income to feed their families, schools were closed, and were also subject to very strict closure orders. People adjusted to a new life, a life characterized by the absence of their loved ones, the inability to afford necessities, and limited freedom of movement. This new life has led to psychological problems for many people. Moreover, this new life has a great impact on food security (Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 2)), the public health system (SDG 3), the education system (SDG 4), and the economy (SDG 8), raising concerns that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will not be achieved by 2030. To accelerate the implementation of the SDGs, an approach to address these issues is needed. This approach is referred to as the System Dynamics Approach (SDA). This chapter discusses the SDA for implementing the SDGs by 2030 in Africa and the Middle East. The SDA can be considered as an effective tool to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs by 2030 in Africa and the Middle East.
