Rehabilitative Landscapes as a Healing Process and Emotional Wellbeing
摘要
A rehabilitative landscape can be an important part of an individual’s process of recuperating from illnesses and sustaining their mental wellbeing. Spending time in natural areas has been found to significantly reduce the likelihood of having underlying health issues. It is concerning because there are currently no clear guidelines that focus on the emotional impact that rehabilitative landscapes have on users, raising concerns about the intended design goal of such spaces. Furthermore, no comprehensive study of the numerous people who use rehabilitation has been conducted. The purpose of this study is to investigate the various aspects of the rehabilitative landscapes that contribute to the ability of patients in rehabilitation centers to heal and their mental wellbeing. The outcome of the paper is to provide a comprehensive list of design principles that may be effective in defining holistic landscape design guidelines by examining the current realities of rehabilitative landscapes and how they affect various users. This study is consistent with SDG 3, which strives to ensure healthy lifestyles and promote wellbeing for all people of all ages.
