Biodegradable Materials-Based Sensors
摘要
Biosensors have become an essential tool in a wide range of fields, from healthcare to environmental monitoring. However, traditional biosensor substrates can be expensive, non-biodegradable, and difficult to dispose of properly. Biodegradable materials offer a promising alternative for biosensor development, providing a sustainable, biocompatible, and cost-effective substrate. This chapter discusses the latest research on biodegradable materials-based biosensors, including the types of biodegradable materials commonly used, fabrication methods, sensing mechanisms, applications, and future directions. It highlights recent advances, including the development of novel biodegradable materials, advanced fabrication methods, and innovative sensing mechanisms. It also examines the potential applications of biodegradable materials-based biosensors, including environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics, and food safety testing. Finally, this chapter identifies the challenges that need to be addressed in the development of biodegradable materials-based biosensors.
