Orbital Maneuvering

Orbital maneuvering, or changing a spacecraft’s orbit, is at the heart of spaceflight. Maneuvering may be performed with one or several consecutive one-impulse maneuversManeuverone-impulse (*) or by a continuous thrust maneuverManeuverimpulsive (thrust). We will study either of them in this section.
