CHIME: The Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment
摘要
The opening chapter of this book explained why radio telescopes look so different from optical telescopes. However, while the growth, mechanization and requirements of optical telescopes through the ages have not resulted in gross changes in their structure, radio astronomy has displayed a veritable cornucopia of antennas, dishes and arrays. Here we describe a highly innovative Canadian concept, the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME).
