Immunologic Responses Post Mechanical Circulatory Support Device Implantation
摘要
Mechanical circulatory support device (MCS) can provide support to the native heart and improve the patient hemodynamics. During the period of the MCS support, the patients’ immune system is also modulated. Immunologic responses post MCS support include increased HLA antibodies, elevated levels of AT1R antibodies, and inhibition of secretion of proinflammatory cytokines. This chapter will summarize these changes and their impact on the transplantation thereafter and the contribution of the immunomodulation to the recovery of the heart function.
