摘要

Detailed knowledge of topographic conditions is required for all surgical procedures. Measurements and landmarks help to make the preoperative planning first mentally one’s own and then to implement it intraoperatively. In routine, these measurements will not be necessary every time, but they can be a useful aid for orientation and for gaining confidence in the sagittal splitting of the mandible.Measurement points and anatomical orientation aids serve to transfer the virtual reality of computerized planning to the surgical site.
