Colonialism and Social Inequality
摘要
This chapter reviews the role of colonialism in the production of social inequality. After a conceptual discussion, the production of coloniality as well as social policies in areas under Western rule are discussed, which, taken together, provide a fundamental understanding of how colonialism and social inequality are correlated. The effects of colonialism in the social fabric of postcolonial societies last until today.
