摘要

Tricetin, a natural compound, has attracted considerable attention due to recent advancements in its resources, biosynthesis pathway, bioavailability, bioactivity, and pharmacology. This chapter summarizes the current knowledge on tricetin, including its sources from various plants, the elucidation of its biosynthesis pathway, its bioavailability, diverse bioactivities such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and potential therapeutic applications. Investigations into the pharmacology of tricetin have revealed multiple mechanisms of action and promising therapeutic effects in disease models. Overall, this chapter highlights the potential value of tricetin as a natural compound and paves the way for further exploration and development of its therapeutic applications.
