The Statistical Powers and Aptitudes of Different Analytic Regimes of Linear Regression Prediction Models in Athletics Performance and Beyond
摘要
The explanatory power of different linear correlation and regression mechanisms to study the connection between core kinetic strength and stability in order to determine, model, and predict an athlete’s peak performance is examined. More generally, the chapter examines the basic assumptions of the linear correlation and regression approach in understanding natural and social phenomena. A survey of certain main theoretical challenges embedded in linear correlation and regression models is presented. Finally, recommendations are put forward in future studies of predictive linear correlation and regression models in athletic performances and in other disciplines in general.
