Higher education has traditionally promoted individual skills over collaborative or group competency development. Today’s society demands individuals who can work as a team and develop teamwork skills based on collaboration. The Transactive Memory System (TMS) is a concept that allows us to understand the cognitive functioning of people when they work as a team. This chapter takes an approach to this topic.
