Muzara’a

This entry examines Muzara’a, the agricultural partnership contract in Islamic Law. It covers the key features of this contract and analyzes the views of various Islamic sects on the topic. Additionally, it presents modern-day examples of similar contracts that are currently in use. As with other contracts in Islamic law, jurists have discussed in detail the various stages and corresponding rights and responsibilities involved in a Muzara’a contract, from its initiation to its termination. Therefore, this study serves to further explain the various provisions of the Muzara’a contract, from its establishment to its termination. Therefore, this article covers the basic issues such as the establishment of the Muzara’a contract, the provisions of the contract and the responsibilities of the parties, and the obligations of the parties in case of termination of the contract.
