Fluid Transmissions

ThePneumatic transmissions power can be transmitted, beside using mechanical components (Fig. 11.1), by means of fluids, either liquidLiquids like mineral oilsOil in hydraulic transmissions, or gaseous like air in pneumatic transmissionsPneumatic transmissions. These are carried by suitable circuits that can adapt the two essential terms of power/torque and angular velocity, or force and speed, to the application required by the user.
