摘要

Central nervous system (CNS) infection pathophysiologies vary by the causative categorical agent (i.e., bacteria, virus, misfold in protein), but its devastating effects on the human and central nervous system only become unavoidably and unfavorably worse unless intervention and treatment take place. CNS infections are a global and sometimes particulate issue (i.e., infection borne from a particular area) that may be assisted with coordinated efforts, especially through sharing medicinal knowledge for quickest, low cost, and most efficient techniques for detection, diagnosis, and treatment. This chapter introduces CNS infections, its patient population, and the blood–brain barrier issue. It then strives to give a detailed layout and an overview of the most recent nanoparticle-related diagnostic, delivery, and treatment methods.
