Hepatitis Management in Developing Countries
摘要
Hepatitis remains a significant public health challenge in developing countries, with high prevalence rates, considerable morbidity and mortality, and complex socioeconomic implications. This chapter explores the achievements, challenges, and recommendations for the management of hepatitis in developing countries. Achievements include expanded vaccination programs, increased awareness, improved access to diagnostics and treatment, and the use of online tools and telemedicine. However, persistent challenges encompass limited healthcare infrastructure, resource constraints, stigma, and discrimination. Recommendations emphasize strengthening vaccination, enhancing education, improving access to diagnostics and treatment, eliminating stigma, fostering partnerships, and promoting innovation. These efforts align with the broader goal of achieving universal healthcare coverage and enhancing overall healthcare infrastructure. Effective hepatitis management in developing countries is achievable through collective commitment and determination, ultimately working toward the elimination of hepatitis as a major public health threat.
