Sexually Transmitted Diseases Management in Developing Countries

  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The management of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in developing countries presents a multifaceted challenge, marked by significant achievements and persistent obstacles. This chapter explores the progress made in STD management, including increased awareness, expanded access to testing and treatment, preventive measures, and the integration of telehealth solutions. However, challenges such as limited healthcare access, stigma, resource constraints, antibiotic resistance, and cultural factors continue to hinder efforts. Recommendations for effective management encompass education, prevention, healthcare access, stigma reduction, data collection, innovation, community engagement, and policy advocacy. Collaboration between governments, healthcare organizations, NGOs, international partners, and communities is essential to reduce the STD burden and improve sexual health in developing countries.
