Medical and Health Sciences in Developing Countries: Importance of Research

Medical and health sciences research about education and practice-related issues is very important and necessary in order to evaluate the practice, identify the problems as well as challenges, and develop and implement action plan to overcome the identified challenges and improve the practice; without research, the practice will not improve. Medical and health research in developing countries has achieved significant progress in recent years, and researchers play an important role with great efforts to suggest recommendations to improve the medical and health practices in developing countries. This chapter aims to describe the importance of research and conducting research about the various aspects of medical and health sciences education and practice.
