The quality of inpatient assessment is crucial for providing optimal healthcare outcomes, and this holds true for developing countries as well. However, developing countries face unique challenges in ensuring high-quality inpatient assessments. This chapter explores the current status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to the quality of inpatient assessment in developing countries. Resource constraints, healthcare workforce shortages, socioeconomic disparities, cultural considerations, and other factors pose challenges in delivering quality assessments. Nonetheless, achievements have been made in improving healthcare infrastructure, addressing workforce shortages, adopting technology, and promoting patient-centered care. Recommendations include investing in healthcare infrastructure, addressing workforce shortages, enhancing technology adoption, promoting patient engagement, and fostering research and collaboration. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can make significant progress in improving the quality of inpatient assessment and enhancing patient outcomes.
