  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The quality of medication error systems and medication error reporting in developing countries is an area of concern for patient safety and healthcare outcomes. This chapter explores the current status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations in this domain. Developing countries face unique challenges, including limited resources, workforce shortages, cultural factors, and infrastructure constraints. However, progress has been made through the implementation of standardized protocols, technological advancements, and reporting mechanisms. Achievements include increased reporting rates, identification of systemic issues, and collaborations for knowledge sharing. Challenges such as underreporting, medication accessibility, and data collection limitations persist. To address these challenges, recommendations include training and education, resource enhancement, promoting reporting culture, medication quality control, collaborations, and research. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can improve medication safety and enhance the overall quality of healthcare delivery.
