  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The quality of dental care in developing countries is a critical issue that impacts oral health outcomes and overall well-being. This chapter explores the current status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to the quality of dental care in developing countries. It highlights the limited resources, workforce shortages, infrastructure deficiencies, and affordability barriers that hinder the provision of optimal dental care. However, various achievements, such as improved access to care, emphasis on prevention, infrastructure development, and advancements in dental education, have contributed to progress. To further enhance dental care quality, recommendations are provided, including strengthening dental education, improving access and affordability, promoting preventive measures, and fostering collaborations. Other recommendations focus on addressing challenges, such as workforce shortages, infrastructure deficiencies, and oral health inequalities. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can work toward improving the quality of dental care and achieving better oral health outcomes for their populations.
