  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

This chapter explores the quality of secondary healthcare services in developing countries. It reviews the current status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for enhancing care quality. Despite significant challenges such as limited resources, workforce shortages, and disparities in access, there have been achievements in patient-centered care, patient safety, technology adoption, and quality assurance. However, challenges remain, including infrastructure limitations, workforce capacity, fragmented care delivery, and financial barriers. The chapter highlights recommendations, including strengthening healthcare infrastructure, workforce development, implementing standardized guidelines, promoting patient-centered care, enhancing coordination, and improving health information systems. It emphasizes the importance of addressing social determinants, engaging communities, and fostering international collaborations. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can improve the quality of secondary healthcare services, leading to better health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
