  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The quality of primary healthcare services in developing countries is a critical concern. This chapter explores the current status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improving the quality of primary healthcare services in developing countries. Significant achievements include expanded coverage, improved maternal and child health outcomes, progress in combating communicable diseases, and the use of technology. However, challenges such as limited resources, health workforce shortages, inadequate infrastructure, and socioeconomic disparities persist. Recommendations to address these challenges include strengthening health systems, enhancing health workforce capacity, implementing quality assurance mechanisms, improving health information systems, promoting community engagement, prioritizing preventive care, addressing social determinants of health, and fostering research and partnerships. Implementing these recommendations can lead to further improvements in the quality of primary healthcare services in developing countries.
