Musculoskeletal Diseases: Causes and Risk Factors in Developing Countries
摘要
Musculoskeletal diseases present a significant burden in developing countries, impacting individuals’ health and well-being while straining healthcare systems. This chapter explores the causes and risk factors associated with musculoskeletal diseases in developing countries. The causes encompass a range of factors, including socioeconomic status, malnutrition, occupational hazards, limited healthcare access, and cultural practices. Risk factors involve lifestyle choices, environmental factors, genetic predisposition, and systemic diseases. Addressing these factors necessitates a comprehensive approach involving improved healthcare access, awareness campaigns, occupational health measures, rehabilitation services, research collaborations, and policy changes. Collaboration, community engagement, and international partnerships play crucial roles in effectively addressing musculoskeletal diseases in developing countries. Implementation of these recommendations can lead to improved musculoskeletal health outcomes and enhanced quality of life for affected individuals.
