  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

Neurological disorders pose a significant burden in developing countries, with unique challenges and risk factors contributing to their occurrence and prevalence. This chapter explores the causes and risk factors associated with neurological disorders in developing countries and provides recommendations to address these issues. Infectious diseases, maternal and perinatal factors, environmental exposures, malnutrition, socioeconomic factors, and genetic predisposition are among the key causes and risk factors discussed. The recommendations encompass various domains, including strengthening healthcare infrastructure, enhancing access to care, promoting awareness and education, addressing social determinants of health, fostering research and collaborations, and advocating for policy changes. By implementing these recommendations, stakeholders can work toward reducing the burden of neurological disorders and improving neurological health outcomes in developing countries.
