Cardiovascular Diseases: Causes and Risk Factors in Developing Countries
摘要
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, particularly in developing countries. This chapter explores the causes and risk factors associated with CVDs in developing countries. It discusses the influence of changing lifestyle patterns, socioeconomic factors, tobacco use, high blood pressure, diabetes, infectious diseases, air pollution, limited awareness and prevention, and inadequate healthcare resources. These factors contribute to the high prevalence of CVDs and highlight the challenges faced by developing countries in managing and preventing these diseases. The chapter emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach involving public health interventions, policy changes, and individual behavior modifications to address these causes and risk factors effectively.
