Drugs in Sport in Developing Countries
摘要
This chapter explores the issue of drugs in sport in developing countries. It discusses the prevalence, reasons, challenges, and management strategies associated with doping practices. Developing countries face unique circumstances that contribute to the use of performance-enhancing substances, including limited resources, cultural attitudes, and socioeconomic factors. To effectively address this issue, a comprehensive approach is required, involving education, testing, enforcement, athlete support, and international collaboration. Achievements have been made in raising awareness, strengthening anti-doping infrastructure, and promoting clean sports values. However, challenges persist, necessitating further efforts in resource allocation, education, research, and collaboration. By implementing these strategies, developing countries can work toward preserving the integrity of sport, protecting athlete well-being, and promoting fair competition.
