  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The immigration of healthcare professionals in developing countries presents challenges to their healthcare systems. This chapter explores the prevalence, reasons, challenges, and recommendations related to this phenomenon. The prevalence of healthcare professional immigration is significant, driven by factors such as better opportunities, quality of life, political and social factors, and professional recognition. The challenges include workforce shortages, healthcare disparities, weakened healthcare systems, and dependence on foreign aid. To address these challenges, recommendations include improving working conditions, strengthening healthcare systems, implementing ethical recruitment practices, fostering retention strategies, and promoting collaborations and partnerships. These efforts aim to build sustainable and equitable healthcare systems in developing countries.
