Nursing Care in Developing Countries: Achievements and Challenges

  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

Nursing care in developing countries plays a crucial role in improving healthcare outcomes and addressing the unique challenges faced by these regions. This chapter explores the achievements, quality, challenges, and recommendations for nursing care in developing countries. Despite notable achievements in increasing healthcare access, improving maternal and child health, and managing infectious diseases, challenges such as nursing workforce shortages, limited resources, and unequal distribution of healthcare facilities persist. To enhance nursing care, recommendations include strengthening nursing education, promoting interprofessional collaboration, integrating technology, engaging communities, addressing mental health needs, advocating for health equity and social justice, and conducting research specific to local contexts. Implementing these recommendations will contribute to strengthening nursing care, improving health outcomes, and promoting sustainable healthcare systems in developing countries.
