Oral Health in Developing Countries
摘要
Oral health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, and its importance is particularly pronounced in developing countries. This chapter reviews the achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improving oral health in developing countries. Significant achievements have been made in increasing awareness, expanding access to services, and implementing preventive programs. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, workforce shortages, and disparities in access persist. The recommendations outlined encompass various aspects, including infrastructure development, workforce retention, prevention-focused programs, advocacy, research capacity building, and integration into broader health systems. Collaboration among stakeholders is essential for sustainable progress in oral health outcomes and equitable access to care. Continued efforts, investment, and innovation are necessary to address the complex challenges and improve oral health in developing countries.
