Health Literacy and Technology
摘要
This chapter explores the rationality and importance of technology for health literacy. Health literacy, defined as the ability to obtain, understand, and use health information and services, is essential for individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Technology has significantly impacted health literacy by increasing accessibility to information, facilitating personalized health management, enabling remote healthcare services, and promoting engagement and education. However, challenges such as information quality, technological literacy, and privacy concerns exist. In developing countries, achievements and challenges specific to their context are observed. Recommendations include infrastructure development, digital literacy programs, localized content, and multi-sectoral collaboration. By addressing these challenges and implementing the recommendations, technology can be effectively utilized to improve health literacy and promote better health outcomes.
