Health Literacy and Medications
摘要
Health literacy related to medications plays a crucial role in enabling individuals to understand, manage, and make informed decisions about their medications. However, in developing countries, health literacy regarding medications faces specific challenges, such as limited access to healthcare services and low literacy rates. This chapter explores the factors contributing to health literacy in medications, including individual-level, system-level, and sociocultural factors. It highlights the importance of clear communication, patient-centered approaches, health education programs, technology-based interventions, and policy support in improving health literacy. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for collaboration among healthcare professionals, community organizations, and policymakers to address the challenges and enhance health literacy regarding medications in developing countries.
