Vaccination in Developing Countries: Geriatrics
摘要
This chapter highlights the rationality, importance, and challenges of geriatrics vaccination in developing countries. Geriatric individuals face increased susceptibility to infectious diseases, making vaccination crucial for their health and well-being. However, access and equitable access to geriatrics vaccines remain significant challenges in these regions. The discussion explores achievements, access barriers, challenges, and recommendations to improve geriatrics vaccination in developing countries. Key recommendations include enhancing affordability, strengthening healthcare systems, promoting education and awareness, fostering partnerships, conducting research, and ensuring regulatory oversight. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can enhance access and equitable access to geriatrics vaccines, reducing the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases in the geriatric population.
