  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The storage and disposal of medications in developing countries pose unique challenges that require specific considerations. Limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, cultural practices, and environmental concerns affect medication storage and disposal practices in these settings. While achievements have been made, challenges such as counterfeit medications, inadequate regulatory oversight, and insufficient resources persist. This chapter explores the achievements, quality concerns, challenges, and recommendations related to medication storage and disposal in developing countries. The recommendations include strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing quality control measures, improving healthcare infrastructure, promoting education and awareness, fostering community engagement, and advocating for research collaborations. Implementing these recommendations will contribute to safe and effective medication management, minimizing environmental risks, and promoting public health in developing countries.
