摘要

Medication errors pose a significant risk to patient safety in developing countries. This chapter provides an overview of medication errors, including their causes and types, and highlights the achievements, challenges, and recommendations for preventing and managing medication errors in developing countries. Despite limited resources and infrastructure, developing countries have made progress in raising awareness, improving education and training, implementing technology solutions, and developing guidelines. However, challenges such as resource constraints, inadequate education, and limited access to quality medications persist. Recommendations include strengthening reporting systems, enhancing education and training, improving medication access, fostering collaboration, and conducting research. By implementing these recommendations, developing countries can make significant strides in preventing medication errors and ensuring safer medication practices.
