Health and Wellness in Developing Countries

  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

This chapter examines the state of health and wellness in developing countries, focusing on research conducted, achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Access to healthcare services, infectious diseases, malnutrition, and social inequalities are significant challenges faced by these countries. Research has played a vital role in understanding these challenges and developing interventions to improve health outcomes. Achievements include expanded access to healthcare, reductions in infectious diseases, improvements in maternal and child health, and progress in managing noncommunicable diseases. However, disparities in healthcare quality, limited resources, and social determinants of health continue to be challenges. Recommendations include strengthening primary healthcare systems, enhancing health information systems, fostering collaboration, and addressing social determinants of health. Implementing these recommendations can lead to further advancements in health and wellness in developing countries.
