Evidence-Based Medicine in Nursing
摘要
Evidence-based nursing practice and care are essential in improving healthcare outcomes and delivering quality care. In developing countries, the implementation of evidence-based nursing practice faces unique challenges and contextual factors. This chapter explores the achievements, quality, challenges, and recommendations related to evidence-based nursing practice in developing countries. Despite the challenges, developing countries have made significant strides in increasing awareness, strengthening research infrastructure, and improving patient safety. However, resource constraints, knowledge gaps, and cultural considerations remain challenges. Recommendations include strengthening research infrastructure, promoting collaborations, prioritizing education and professional development, supporting local adaptation of evidence, ensuring policy integration, engaging communities, and advocating for resources and support. Additional efforts such as health system strengthening, dissemination and knowledge translation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy and policy support, and research funding are vital for successful implementation. By addressing these challenges and implementing recommendations, evidence-based nursing practice and care can be further advanced, leading to improved healthcare outcomes in developing countries.
