Patient Care–Related Issues in the Developing Countries: Documentation
摘要
Documentation is essential in patient care and disease management in developing countries. This chapter describes the achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to documentation practices in these contexts. Despite notable achievements, challenges such as incomplete and inaccurate records, language and literacy barriers, and limited infrastructure persist. Recommendations include capacity building, simplified documentation tools, infrastructure investment, collaboration, community engagement, and research. By addressing these challenges and implementing the recommended strategies, developing countries can enhance the quality of documentation, improve healthcare delivery, and contribute to better patient outcomes and population health.
