  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

The readiness of medical and healthcare schools/programs for practice change is a critical concern in developing countries. This chapter explores the challenges faced by healthcare education in these regions and offers a comprehensive set of recommendations to enhance readiness. Challenges include limited resources, outdated curricula, faculty shortages, and regulatory issues. To address these challenges, recommendations encompass curriculum modernization, faculty development, collaborative partnerships, technology integration, community engagement, regulatory framework improvement, access to medications, data management, interdisciplinary education, a global health perspective, and public-private partnerships. Implementing these measures will empower healthcare professionals to meet the evolving healthcare landscape’s challenges, ultimately leading to improved healthcare outcomes and better access to quality healthcare services.
