Evidence Based Medical and Health Sciences Education in Developing Countries
摘要
Evidence-based medical and health sciences education is a critical component of healthcare systems in developing countries. This chapter explores the landscape of evidence-based education across various healthcare disciplines, including medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, and public health. It highlights the challenges faced in these settings, such as resource constraints, outdated curricula, and faculty shortages, while emphasizing the numerous benefits, including enhanced clinical competence, improved patient care, and health equity. The recommendations presented encompass curriculum revision, faculty development, technology integration, interprofessional education, community engagement, and continuous quality improvement. International collaboration, research funding, and scholarships are also encouraged. Implementing these strategies can empower developing countries to build strong foundations of evidence-based education, reduce healthcare disparities, and enhance the quality of healthcare provided to their populations.
