Faculty Members/Lecturer’s Promotion in Nursing Schools in Developing Countries
摘要
Promotion of faculty members in nursing schools within developing countries is a critical component of enhancing healthcare education and addressing healthcare disparities. This chapter explores the challenges and achievements in the promotion process while providing recommendations to overcome obstacles and bolster faculty development. Faculty promotions empower educators to improve nursing education quality, drive research, and foster leadership, all of which are essential for strengthening healthcare systems in resource-constrained settings. The chapter underscores the significance of transparent promotion criteria, increased funding for research, gender equity, and global collaboration to create a supportive environment for faculty members in developing countries. Continued support and investment in the promotion of faculty members in nursing schools in developing countries will not only elevate the standards of nursing education and practice but also contribute to the broader goals of achieving equitable healthcare access and improved health outcomes for all.
