Private Nursing Education in the Developing Countries: Impact, Challenges, and Recommendations

Private nursing education in both developed and developing countries plays a significant role in addressing the challenges and demands of the healthcare sector. While facing unique challenges such as affordability and quality assurance, private nursing education institutions also bring numerous benefits and opportunities, including increased access to education, enhanced quality of education, specialized programs, practical training collaborations, and contribution to a culturally sensitive nursing workforce. This chapter discussed the impact, challenges, and recommendations for private nursing education in developing countries, highlighting the need for affordability, accessibility, regulatory oversight, collaboration, faculty development, research, and policy support to strengthen and maximize its positive contributions to the healthcare system.
