Continuous Medical Education in Developing Countries: Dentistry Education
摘要
Continuous medical education (CME) is essential for dentistry education in developing countries to ensure dental professionals stay updated with advancements and provide high-quality patient care. Despite challenges, notable achievements have been made, including bridging knowledge gaps, upgrading skills, and improving patient outcomes. Recommendations to enhance CME include increased funding, collaboration, tailored programs, technology utilization, faculty development, standardization, and sustainability. Mentorship, international partnerships, research, cultural sensitivity, peer-to-peer learning, community-based experiences, and continuous evaluation are also crucial. Implementing these recommendations will strengthen dentistry education, empower dental professionals, and enhance oral health outcomes in developing countries.
