  • Yaser Mohammed Al-Worafi

摘要

Continuous medical education (CME) is crucial for healthcare professionals to stay updated with the latest advancements in medical science and deliver quality care. This chapter explores the importance of CME, its benefits, and effective strategies for implementation. It also examines the achievements, challenges, and recommendations specific to CME in developing countries. While achievements include increased access to educational resources and collaboration with international organizations, challenges such as limited resources, shortage of facilitators, and socioeconomic factors hinder CME implementation. Recommendations include government support, collaborations, local capacity building, technology integration, and research and evaluation. Addressing these challenges and implementing the recommendations can enhance healthcare professional competencies, improve patient care, and contribute to the overall development of healthcare systems.
