The PERT Database: A Contemporary Decision-Making Tool for Clinicians in the Management of Acute Pulmonary Embolism
摘要
The Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) Consortium™ is a non-for-profit organization with a focus on standardizing the care of patients with pulmonary embolism (PE) around the world. With rapid advances in technology, and variability in care among patients with intermediate or high-risk PE, the PERT database was established to provide prospective data on hospitalized patients who received a multi-disciplinary approach to their care. Providers who manage patients with pulmonary embolism can utilize this information to guide evidence-based decision making. Furthermore, the PERT database serves as an invaluable tool that provides a contemporary approach to access high-quality, wide-reaching data that represents the patient population of today.
