CT in Pulmonary Embolism
摘要
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of CT pulmonary angiography for the evaluation of acute PE. The chapter highlights the importance of being familiar with the technical aspects of acquiring a diagnostic study and fundamental concepts for accurate interpretation. The importance of differentiating between acute and chronic PE, common mimickers, and artifacts that may lead to erroneous interpretations is discussed. Furthermore, the chapter describes the prognostic value of CT, including various parameters and methods of risk stratification including right ventricular/left ventricular diameter ratio, clot location, CT-specific clot obstruction scores, and dual energy perfusion maps.
